Happy Friday everyone I am going to try something new on fridays and join in on the fiber art fridays post.
This week we played around with angelina hot fix for the first time and made some pretty sun catchers. My kids had so much fun making them. We watched thisvideo together before we started for a tutorial.
My oldest Abigail has been asking me to show her how to spin since I got my spinning wheel in March. I needed some time to get it all figured out myself before I could show her. After she helped out at a local fiber farm with their shearing day her interest had increased since they had wanted her to demonstrate how to spin to any shoppers. So I made sure to slow down this week and show her how to spin. She spun from a beautiful batt that she had carded herself. She did such a great job. I think in the future we will need to get another wheel in our home :) Can't wait to see what she makes with her first skein of yarn!
We just found out that the local homeschooling art and science fair is coming up, and we were thinking it would be neat for Abigail to enter her end product of her yarn. As well as showing some pictures of all the steps she did to create it. What do you think?
