Wow, Its been a long time since I have been part of fiber art friday. This season for our family has been a busy one. I am still working on getting into more o f a rhythm with everything and squeezing in more time for fiber work. My hubby is still battling with chronic migraines and the botox injections seem to help for the most part expect for the weeks leading up to the next dose and about a week after. (36 shots in his head and neck - no wonder he isn't feeling well after) Our youngest is now 2 and getting into everything. He loves to climb on top of everything keeping us all on our toes. Today was a no nap day for him. Oh boy. He is wild today. Not looking forward to no more naps. That is my best time to get caught up. My other 3 kids have been helping out with the farm chores and enjoying homeschooling. They also have been keeping little man entertain so I can try to tackle my large fiber stash. I have so much to wash still and shearing day will be here before I know it.
It feels so good to finally carve some time out of my busy schedule to play with fiber. I really enjoy dyeing it and creating beautiful colors on these gloomy days of winter. We had another frigid couple of days this week -29 with wind chills of -45. Between all the the farm chores and breaking ice and refilling the water buckets four times a day (the heated buckets could just not keep up with the temps and alpacas drink more water when its cold) I was able to find some time to dye and card.. And Isabel made a pair of wet felted jingle balls. She loves making them. :)
The month of January I have also been working on getting our Etsy Shop setup as well as giving our website a little makeover still more to come. Let me know what you think..
