Yesterday I made one of our all time favorite tasty fall treats — pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting. YUM! This recipe is one of my favorite from my childhood, I just converted it to GF to work with our food allergies. These pumpkin bars are so delicious and moist that no one will even know they are gluten free. They are SO EASY to make! Perfect to take to your fall gathers. I hope you enjoy them as much as my family :) Enjoy!
Gluten Free Pumpkin Bars
1. Mix dry ingreidents
2. Add eggs, oil, and pumpkin
3. Beat together with electric mixer
4. Pour onto a greased jelly roll pan (just a cookie sheet with sides)
5. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes
1. Soften and cream together cream cheese and butter
2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla
3. Beat with electric mixer until smooth
4. Spread frosting over bars. Cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator.
Wow!! Where has the month gone? The past month has been filled with lots of fibery goodness. I thought I would share some pictures to show you what I mean...
We ended march with teaching a wet felting soap class at our counties 4H project discovery day. It was a great time all the kids had so much fun making their felted soap and it was neat to see all the color combinations they came up with.
Above is the wet felted soap my kiddos made for the demos at project discovery days.
The kids of Flying K Farm have been busy making these fun wet felted jingle balls. They are selling them in our Etsy shop. And if you are interested in making your own we put together a tutorialhere
My friend Marvel and I setup at our very first craft fair at the beginning of April. It was a lot of fun! Looking forward to doing more this year as well as some farmers markets. Stay tuned on where you can find us this summer.
My friends Marvel and Heather (Lahara Lockets) and I put together this basket of goodies for a silent auction to raise money to help rebuildCamden Accessible Playground in Janesville Wisconsin.
This month I dyed a bunch of fiber and made it into some pretty batts. My hubby even helped. He likes to help drum card and is excited for the new picker box he order since he usually helps with the hand picking and that can be a really tedious job.
Have you heard about our Fiber CSA yet? This is one of our boxes going out to one of our lovely share holders. Find out more about our Fiber CSAhere.
